* Drill Cuttings, Lag time Calculations, Laboratory Tests, Filtrates
* Siliceous, Argillaceous Rocks/Swelling Clays and Carbonates, Evaporites and Organics
* Hole Conditions, Underbal. Drilling, Cavings; Bit Balling, Dope, Shavings, Contaminants
MUD ENGINEERING AND FIELD CASE STUDIES
* Introduction to Mud Engineering – Role of a Mud Engineer, Job Specifications & Scope
* Hydraulics, Rheology, Mud Mixing Excercises, Density Determination, Drilling Fluids Testing / Equipments
* Fluid System Preparation and Selection Criteria – Mud Program Design, Fluid Laboratory
* HSE and Environmental Considerations, Hazards and Risks – Mud Disposal Methods
* Case Studies – Examples of Mud Engineering Projects in Challenging Well Scenarios.
